The wife is an unnamed woman who was sailing on a yacht with her husband during the outbreak. She is seen in the trailer for Dead Island: Riptide.[1]

At the intro of the trailer, she is hugging her husband on the yacht at sea, but in the background, the monsoon mentioned in Dead Island is approaching Banoi. The scene then cuts to the cabin with her and her husband hugging each other as they look to their eyes. It is then shown that the husband is holding a lighter with the Royal Palms Resort logo in his hands, and two propane tanks behind the wife are filling the cabin with gas. But as the camera lifts, zombies are seen pounding the windows, and one manages to break through one. At their last moments, the wife says "I love you" as each other's hands touch the lighter. The scene then cuts outside, where the yacht has beached in a town devastated by the monsoon as hordes of zombies attack the ship. The wife was killed in the blast with her husband.[1]

- It's unknown whereabouts on Palanai she and her husband are located, as you only briefly see the outside of the yacht and the surrounding location.
- They appear to be in Henderson, but it's unknown how the large yacht got into the streets, as when the heroes reach Henderson, most of the town is above the water level.
