Introducing: Chat!
The wait is finally over, and Chat is here! You can access it via the given link, or via the button in recent changes.
Wikia Chat may be a bit buggy, as it isn't quite finished yet, however it's still usable by the community. Where this leaves the IRC, I have no idea, though for now both will be kept online.
When using chat, please keep your behavior civilized, as abusing chat will lead to a block. Thanks, and enjoy the feature!

The Wiki Now Has A Chatroom!
Dead Island Wiki now has an official chatroom!
The chatroom has been created so that community members can interact and discuss things about the wiki and game together. IRC is a way of also making the wiki more noticed.
At the moment, the Wikia Chat feature is not going to be activated for our wiki. When/if it is, the IRC will likely stay, though for now that's a discussion for another day.
If you've ever been in a chatroom, you may know that it can be great fun. If you haven't, it surely is! Be sure to read the rules and instructions before joining, though, and remember to contact me here if you have any problems.

Achievements!
Ladies and gentleman, boys and girls, zombies of all ages; it's time to present to you: Achievements! Achievements, or badges, as they're commonly called, are here to help motivate editors into editing more often. They look very basic at the moment, but rest assured that they are being customized as we speak by myself.
What's your opinion? Are you gonna dominate the leaderboard or just try your hardest?

Dead Island Wiki Growth and Brand New Affiliate
Hello, Dead Islanders! You'll all be pleased to know that Dead Island Wiki is growing at an exceptional pace! Content has grown to more then 100 pages, more then 100 images, more then 3 fully active and contributers. Not too shabby, I must say, for a Wiki that didn't really start growing till a few months ago!
We now have 2 active admins, myself, BobNewbie, and IDave Ja Vu, and along with all the other dedicated contributers around we're confident we can get this Wiki bigger and better!
Now there are quite a few questions out there about the game, and we're sure that'll double, triple and perhaps quadruple when the game is released. Where do you find more ammo on the 3rd level? How to take out the Suicider when he's armed? Well, with an all …
The Way Foward
Recently, I have successfully adopted the Wiki, and now, I have admin rights, and bureaucrat rights. This means I have the ability to do admin things, plus promote users to administrators. This is a huge step in the growth, and future, of Dead Island Wiki.
Now, I have made a list of goals that I want us to achieve. Everything's gonna be a little faster then it was from this point onwards but I'm sure it will be worth it.
Every month, perhaps bi-weekly, I'll make a blog post to inform you all of the changes that have been made to the Wiki by me on a technical, administrative and community level.
Requests for different levels of rights will not be opened immediately, because standards have not been created yet.
Anyway, I hope you'll all have fun…
