Upping the Odds for Sam B is the name of a series of Team Quests in Dead Island: Riptide, given to the player by Sam B. The Hero must find and retrieve a series of items for Sam B so that he can upgrade his weapon. The Hero will be rewarded with XP and Deo-Bombs.
Upping the Odds for Sam B I[]
The Hero must retrieve 3 Bolts and give them to Sam B. In exchange they will receive a small amount (1 star rating) of XP, as well as 5 Deo-Bombs.
After completing this quest, Sam B will upgrade his weapon from a Mace to a Metal Baton with the Diamond Edge Mod installed.
Upping the Odds for Sam B II[]
The Hero must retrieve 7 Large Batteries for Sam B. In exchange they will receive a moderate amount (3 star rating) of XP, as well as 7 Deo-Bombs.
After completing this quest, Sam B will upgrade his weapon to an Uncommon Heavy Baton with the High Voltage Mod installed.
Upping the Odds for Sam B III[]
The Hero must retrieve 3 Propane Cutters for Sam B. In exchange they will receive a high amount (4 star rating) of XP, as well as 9 Deo-Bombs.
After completing this quest, Sam B will upgrade his weapon to a Morning Star with the Torch Mod installed.
