Upping the Odds for Colonel Hardy is the name of a series of Team Quests in Dead Island: Riptide, given to the player by Lieutenant Colonel Samuel Hardy. The Hero must find and retrieve a series of items for Colonel Hardy so that he can upgrade his weapon. The Hero will be rewarded with XP and a number of Grenades.
Upping the Odds for Colonel Hardy I[]
The Hero must retrieve 3 Weight Plates and give them to Colonel Hardy. In exchange they will receive a small amount (1 star rating) of XP and 5 Grenades.
After completing this quest, Colonel Hardy will upgrade his weapon from a Police Baton to a Crowbar with the Weighted Mod installed.
Upping the Odds for Colonel Hardy II[]
The Hero must retrieve 7 Batteries and give them to Colonel Hardy. In exchange they will receive a moderate amount (3 star rating) of XP and 7 Grenades.
After completing this quest, Colonel Hardy will upgrade his weapon to an Uncommon Police Baton with the Shock Mod installed.
Upping the Odds for Colonel Hardy III[]
The Hero must retrieve 3 Aluminum Tubes and give them to Colonel Hardy. In exchange they will receive a high amount (4 star rating) of XP and 9 Grenades.
After completing this quest, Colonel Hardy will upgrade his weapon to a Unique Metal Kanabo with the Magic Wand Mod installed.
