Tyler Nobbs is a survivor who appears in Ryder White's Campaign DLC in Dead Island. He is encountered on a fortified rooftop of Victory Hill in Moresby, which has been designated as a minor safe refuge. The refuge has a workbench, numerous weapons, mod items, some food as well as a mounted machine gun. Ryder meets him near the beginning of the main quest Stolen Thunder in the fortification. When spoken to, Tyler was expecting help and protection from the soldier, but is instead horrified of Ryder's execution of a woman who was "sick in the head". Ryder then warns him to stay back, as he doesn't want to hurt him but will if given no choice. After this, he remains at the refuge, contemplating on what to do.
When the Heroes arrive much later on, Tyler is gone and the fortification has been completely torn down. It is unknown whether he finished contemplating on what to do and found another safe place, was found and killed by raskols or succumbed to Zombies.
Appearance[]
Tyler is a middle aged man with short brown hair. He wears a dirty white t-shirt, floral patterned long shorts held by a brown belt, white socks, and brown boots. In the Definitive Edition, his shorts are now plain green.

- His dialogue will remain the same even if Ryder does not kill any zombies in his vicinity with anything (including the mounted machine gun). As such, Tyler could be grouping Ryder with all the soldiers who will have definitely killed zombies with their firearms. Since Tyler is seemingly unaware of the fact that they're zombies, he'll have seen it as murder of a living human.
