The Toxic Mod is a weapon mod featured in Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide.

Try and use the flesh of those exploding poor things according to the given recipe (you will need to obtain several more things, which should not cause you a big deal of trouble) and you will get a venomous weapon that will make sending all these half-dead wretches to their graves all that easier.
In Dead Island, the mod is found on Mother Helen's desk at the back of Saint Christopher's Church during the main quest Sacred Silence. In Dead Island: Riptide, the mod is found at the Villa Henderson in Henderson on some scaffolding at the rear of the villa.

Trivia

• Oddly, in Dead Island the Toxic Mod is found earlier in the game, shortly after starting Act II, while the Venom Mod, which is a weaker version that deals the same status effect, is found in the Sewers much later on in the act.
  • This is not the case in Dead Island: Riptide where the mod is obtained far later than the Venom Mod, making it the upgrade it was meant to be.
