The Tonfa is a melee weapon featured in Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide. it can be sold by various Merchants and found in Metal chests or on killed Zombies.
Overview[]
The Tonfa is a solid blunt melee weapon, with a low stamina cost and a fasts swing speed. The trade off of this is less damage and force than other blunt weapons such as the Mace or Metal Baseball Bat. Even so, the weapon still retains good force compared to other one handed blunt weapons, and decent damage that can kill a Walker in a few hits. It can also kill Infected quickly with a hit to the head, usually breaking it. The Tonfa isn't the best choice against special infected such as the Thug or Wrestler due to its limited weapon reach and moderate damage.

- The tonfa is used traditionally in Chinese and Okinawan martial arts and is a standard issue weapon used in many police forces all over the world.
