Thobey Givens is a survivor featured in Dead Island who only appears in the Bloodbath Arena DLC. He's one of the twelve Banoi Island Defense Force soldiers in the Lobby.[1] Like the other soldiers, he has fought in the arena but was clearly traumatised by it, as he says to the Heroes.[2]
Appearance[]
Thobey is a young to middle aged man with short brown hair and a clean shaven face. Like the other soldiers in the arena, he wears the standard B.I.D.F. uniform consisting of black body armour, black combat boots, a green camo top and green camo trousers, as well as a green baseball cap.[3] In the Definitive Edition, he now wears a Swat helmet instead of a cap, and his uniform is now camo yellow.[4]

“They said they were gonna get us out of here. They promised us... but didn't, did they? They wrote us off. Left us here to bloody die... or never die...”
— Idle dialogue

— Idle dialogue
“Every time I close my eyes and I try to get some sleep I see their faces. Their rotting, putrid faces. With the maggots and the flies. Eyes open, eyes closed, I can't get away from them.”
— Idle dialogue
“Can't go out there again. Can't do it. I'd rather eat a goddam bullet. It's the eyes. There's nothing there. They aren't human. I don't know what they are.”
