Thaddeus is the quaternary antagonist in Dead Island: Riptide. Prior to the outbreak, Thaddeus was arrested and found guilty of an unspecified crime, and along with various other prisoners, was being transported across Palanai Island when the bus was caught in the outbreak spreading across the island. Thaddeus, along with his fellow prisoners, rioted and escaped the bus, settling in the nearby Pinai Ferry Station, with Thaddeus as their leader. When the Heroes arrive, he speaks with them and claims he will allow passage, but only if the Hero gives up all weapons, supplies, and food. As a result of this and various other threatening behaviors, the hero involuntarily enters Fury Mode, and Thaddeus, along with the other prisoners, is killed.

Thaddeus is a middle-aged man with brown hair and a full moustache. He wears a dirty white t-shirt, prisoner orange jumpsuit pants held by a black belt, white socks, and light brown boots.

- Thaddeus has two different weapons he can attack the heroes. The first is a Pistol, which he will use to shoot the Heroes from range. The second is a Metal Pipe, which he will use if the Heroes get too close.
