Steve Summers is a survivor featured in Dead Island. He is first met by the Heroes trapped inside Bungalow #10 at the Hotel Bungalows. He is besieged by Zombies and Steve is seen in between the half-opened front doors of the bungalow. After the heroes kill the zombies and rescue him, Steve welcomes them inside for a talk. Steve says that earlier John Sinamoi encountered him and told him to go with him for safety, but Steve was afraid to because John had a tattoo on his face, "looked like a damn cannibal", so he decided to stay. Steve also refuses to leave with the hero and will remain at the bungalow, however when the heroes next travel to Bungalow 10, Steve has already left the place, likely fleeing to somewhere safer.
Appearance[]
Steve is a middle aged man with balding black hair and a full beard. Unlike most male survivors in the Resort, Steve is fully dressed with a green floral shirt, a white undershirt, pale green shorts, white socks, and red and white shoes. He also wears a tan messenger bag.

- Steve mistook Sinamoi's name as being "Simba" which is most likely a reference the film, Lion King.
