Shelly is a character featured in the Dead Island comic published by Dark Horse.
Background[]
Shelly lives in Serramonte, California where she is a police officer who worked at the Serramonte Police Department. At some point prior to the outbreak, she developed a relationship with Marco, likely when they were serving in the police force before Marco was fired. 4 days after the outbreak, Marco runs into Shell whilst attempting to reach the police department with his best friend Richard Nguyen in an attempt to get the guns there. However, when they find her, she reveals that she was bitten and attempted to kill herself using a cake knife to avoid turning. This didn't work, however, and she dies soon after meeting the two. While Marco is taking out his anger and grief on the zombie horde following them using a child's bike he had previous commandeered, Shelly reanimates and attempts to bite Marco. He is saved by Richard who, on a big wheel he commandeered earlier, sweeps up Marco and cycles away, with the now undead Shelly holding onto the rear axle.
Appearance[]
Shelly is a young woman with long, flowing brunette hair but no glasses. She's wearing a police officer's uniform, with a blue top and pants along with black shoes. She's also wearing a brown belt and her top has a shield of the police department on each shoulder along with gold buttons and a gold police star above the heart.
Trivia[]
- Because the two remaining issues of the comic never came out, it's unknown how Richard and Marco escaped from the undead Shelly, or what her ultimate fate was.
