Sathiss was a survivor featured in Dead Island.
Background[]
He is located in the Lighthouse Gas Station. He is found during the side quest Ashes to Ashes, where the Hero must visit the gas station in search of fuel.[1] Upon nearing the main building, Sathiss will get the hero's attention and remove the barricade to the front doors to let them in.[2] After this, he does not interact with the hero, but upon turning on the power, he will congratulate them and thank them profusely for it, as well as expressing happiness that they are alive after going into the workshop.[3] After completing Ashes to Ashes, returning to the gas station will show the front doors smashed in, presumably from the Thug that appears next to the pumps, with Sathiss' partially eaten (and turned) corpse just outside the rear exit of the gas station.[4]
Appearance[]
Sathiss is a middle aged man with short brown hair and a full beard. Unlike most male survivors in the Resort, Sathiss is fully dressed with a green sleeveless t-shirt, blue jeans held by a brown belt, white socks, and brown shoes. He also wears a bandage wrapped around his left arm, a blue tennis cap, and black rimmed glasses.[5]
Trivia[]
- It's unknown why Sathiss and Dan Mark didn't go with the hero to a safe house, as the car could have easily carried them all.
- Sathiss and Dan are the only survivors the heroes help and later find dead in the game. Every other survivor stays in their place, never being in trouble again.
