Resurrect the Rex is a side quest given to the Slayer by Rikky Rex in Dead Island 2.
Synopsis[]
The slayer locates three of rock musician Rikky Rex's tapes to help him remember his former band.
Plot[]
The side quest was unlocked once the Slayer began the story quest "Kwon With the Wind." They interacted with rock musician Rikky Rex at his home in Beverly Hills. Rex requested three recordings from his former rock band, Gods and Whiskey. He directed the Slayer to his music producer, Farouk's home, where all three records were held.
After the Slayer acquired the house key from Farouk's boyfriend, Dave, they entered the house and acquired the first record, Axe Me Nicely: the Album, from Farouk. The second record, Puking Excellence: the Tour, was found on the second floor, which is obstructed by an electrical hazard. The final record, Hair on a G String: B-Sides, was located on the top floor balcony, where the slayer was forced to battle a large group of zombies to acquire the tape.
Upon acquiring the tapes, the Slayer returned to Rex, who awarded the player a rare Pole Saw.
Trivia[]
- All the tapes use the same model, just made a different colour. This means that all the tapes supposedly have the same track list,
- The model, therefore, is also the same used for the collectible Journal Colt's Swansong, even though Colt Swanson himself has no affiliation with Gods and Whiskey.
