A good view of the ferry
The Pinai Ferry is a large chain operated transport ferry that was used to transport cars and people to Henderson. The ferry is brought in and out of the Pinai Ferry Station by 2 large winches that are operated from a control station in a small room on the ground floor of the terminal. These chains pull the ferry too and from its opposite station, the Henderson Ferry Station, to transport vehicles and passengers too and from the city. It is first mentioned in Chapter 7, after the group successfully navigate through the Japanese Tunnels to escape the Flooded jungle. The heroes reach and clear out the ferry terminal of escaped hostile prisoners before finding the ferry operator, a man named Marvin, trapped in the operating room. He tells them that he can get the ferry to them, but it's loud. The group defend the station from a horde of zombies until the ferry finally arrives at the terminal, whereupon they all get on it and travel to Henderson. It is not mentioned after this, nor is it seen or used again unless you travel to the ferry station where it will always appear docked.

The ferry itself is a mostly square, or squashed rectangular, shallow barge like ferry. Most of the deck space is taken up by space for the vehicles to park on. There is a deployable ramp for the vehicles to embark and disembark from the ferry. There's a small, thin walkway on the left (port) side of the ferry, which leads to the small control tower. This is a small tower which has stairs leading to it. It has space for one person, the captain, to stand up there and pilot the ferry across the bay. The space below the ferry is used for the chain grooves which keep the ferry attached to the chains and allow it to drag itself across the bay. After the outbreak, many destroyed vehicles are scattered across the deck and a few zombies are scattered around, with some bodies on the deck of their victims.

- When the ferry first arrives, a Screamer will be on it. This is your first introduction to this zombie type.
- There's no loot or containers to loot on the ferry (for the short time you're on it), so don't bother looking.
