Mugambe is a survivor in Dead Island: Riptide. He is encountered by the Hero in the center of the Flooded jungle, close to the top entrance to Halai Village.
Background[]
Mugambe was on vacation with his family in Palanai and was visiting the jungle, exploring the natives and natural areas. He was unaware of the zombie outbreak until they began traveling to Halai Village. While exploring, Mugambe and his family were attacked by zombies before they could reach Halai Village. He got separated from his family and was chased to a camp site. He spotted a camper which had a ladder on it, which he quickly climbed. He looked around to find something to defend himself, but there was nothing and the zombies surrounded the camper, making it hard for him to escape.
Eventually, he spots the Heroes passing by and calls for help. As soon as the Heroes spot Mugambe, the civilian rescue quest Rescue Mugambe will be activated. After killing the zombies, he calls the hero up to the top of the camper and gives them cash as a reward, insisting that they should have it. He tearfully tells them he has to find his family and thanks them again. He rests for a while on top of the camper before beginning his search and leaving the area.
Appearance[]
Mugambe is an older man with brown hair and a full beard. He wears a faded red floral-patterned shirt, beige shorts held by a black belt, and gray and white sneakers. He also has a single gold necklace and a light brown Stetson with a white stripe.
