Mr. Barranca is a character mentioned in Dead Island: Riptide. He was John Morgan's next door neighbour when John lived in Henderson with his family. He was last seen "alive" in the bedroom of John's children where he, Barranca, and an Infected were caught in a struggle that resulted in John cutting diary entry part 9 abruptly.
It's unknown how Mr. Barranca got into John's house in the first place, let alone into one of the deeper bedrooms of the house, especially as a zombie, but it's likely that when John's wife and children fled, they didn't lock up the house again, allowing Mr. Barranca to gain entrance. Alternatively, Mr. Barranca may have sought shelter in the house after being infected, dying and turning in the bedroom and his undead body was not able to figure out the door to escape. However, he is joined by at least one other zombie in the room, so it's also possible that he was chased into the house by a zombie, who then killed and infected him, leaving them both trapped in the bedroom.
