Mervyn Sutcliffe is a survivor featured in Dead Island who only appears in the Bloodbath Arena DLC. He's one of the twelve Banoi Island Defense Force soldiers in the Lobby. He is the youngest of the soldiers and is seen beside Major Dixon inside the bloodbath arena and is later seen sitting in a chair. Like the other soldiers, he has fought in the arena but it has clearly traumatised him.[1] All his quotes relate to how terrible and bloody it was, which is a large contrast to Hale Bingle who sits on the chair next to him, who relishes killing zombies.[2]
Appearance[]
Mervyn is a young man with shaved brown hair and a clean shaven face. Like the other soldiers in the arena, he wears the standard B.I.D.F. uniform consisting of black body armour, black combat boots, a green camo top and green camo trousers.[3] In the Definitive Edition, he now wears a Swat helmet, and his uniform is now yellow.[4]
