Merchants, also known as Vendors, are survivors featured in Dead Island who will trade with the Hero. They are most often found in Safe Houses or and other defensible locations. Merchants can both buy items from and sell items to the player.

- Aubrey - located on a balcony nearly next door to the Motel "Safe Haven" dead zone to complete the side quest Safe Haven.

- Kai - located in the Blue Crab Grill at Venice Beach.
- Dougie - located in the Serling Hotel.
- Francesca - located at her home in Beverly Hills once the side quest Body Art: Unveiling has been completed.
- Todd - located at the Re-Aging Clinic in Hollywood Boulevard once the main quest Hollywood Ending has been completed.
- Rodriguez - located on the third floor of The Tower at Venice Beach.
Notes[]
- Merchants will stay in one location selling items and weapons throughout the game.
- It is possible to refresh the selection being sold in the merchants by returning to the menu and loading the game again. This will refresh their selection, giving you different results to find what you want.
Trivia[]
- In some shops firearms and other weapons can be seen near a merchant, but it usually turns out the items aren't for sale and can't be found in the shop menu.
- There are no available merchants in Ryder White's Campaign.
- In addition, there are no merchants in Haus.
