The Melee Mutilator Mod is a weapon Mod featured in Dead Island 2. It grants a physical damage boost to the applied weapon. It also inflicts the Weakened status effect to zombies after multiple hits. Stamina will then be regained if the player hits a weakened zombie. Two types of the mod are available: melee and ranged. There are three different rarities, each granting an increased damage boost and minor durability respectively.

The Uncommon Melee Mutilator Mod is located on the workbench in the Mansion Under Construction in Beverly Hills. This is also the same room where the player rescues Jessica Kwon. It grants a minor physical damage boost of 5% to the applied weapon and inflicts the weakened status effect to zombies. Hitting weakened zombies with the mod recovers 4% of your stamina. Additionally, the mod gives a 2% increase to the weapons durability.

The Rare Melee Mutilator Mod is sold by Kai who can be found at the Blue Crab Grill in Venice Beach. It grants a moderate physical damage boost of 10% to the applied weapon and inflicts the weakened status effect to zombies. Hitting weakened zombies with the mod recovers 6% of your stamina. Additionally, the mod gives a 4% increase to the weapons durability.

The Superior Melee Mutilator Mod is located in the Serling Reception Safe lockbox which is found upon entering the Serling Hotel in Ocean Avenue. The key to the lockbox is dropped by a named zombie called the Serling Concierge who is located on the mall's second floor. It grants a major physical damage boost of 15% to the applied weapon and inflicts the weakened status effect to zombies. Hitting weakened zombies with the mod recovers 8% of your stamina. Additionally, the mod gives a 6% increase to the weapons durability.
