Meat Mallet is a blunt weapon featured in Dead Island: Riptide. It can be found randomly in metal chests, given as a Quest reward or sold by a Merchant.
Overview[]
Whist the Meat Mallet looks like a large, two handed weapon at first, like a Sledgehammer, it is in fact far more mobile than one. It is a one handed mallet, which allows it to have the high force attributes of sledgehammers but with far more mobility. Whilst its damage is mediocre, even when compared to other blunt weapons, it has very good force and high durability, with a medium stamina drain. This makes it very good for crushing heads of Infected for Meat and good against Walkers or higher health enemies like Thugs, however it's not recommended against large groups of enemies due to its stamina cost but most importantly due to its poor range, meaning if you can hit them, they can most certainly hit you back!
