Mclean was a soldier mentioned in the Bloodbath Arena DLC for Dead Island who was killed prior to the arrival of the Heroes. He was one of the soldiers living in the bunker lobby after it was overrun. After the evacuation points were overrun, the soldiers left in the safe zone started to see how long they could last killing the zombies in the evacuation points. All the soldiers left in the lobby have fought at least once in the overrun evacuation points, now called arenas, and McLean was also ordered to fight in one. However, he couldn't fully defend himself and so failed to survive the arena, being killed by the undead that inhabited it.

- He was mentioned by Del Rawson, who is the only soldier to do so.
- He was killed in Arena D, though we never expressly see their body on the ground. It's possible that the body was either completely devoured, pushed under the water or turned and wandered off.
- He is one of only three soldiers we never see in game in some capacity, the others being Bernard Grinn from Ryder White's Campaign and the other being Samuel Hardy's friend Commander Briggs from Dead Island: Riptide.
