Marcus Davis is a survivor featured in Dead Island. He is first encountered by the Heroes during the side quest A Ray of Hope, inside the Golden Bungalows above ground transformer station that powers the Lighthouse, but is part of the group of survivors led by James Stein at the Lighthouse. According to Darvin Bark, Marcus left on his own initiative to restart the generators but was not heard from for several hours prior to the heroes arriving at the Lighthouse, prompting Darvin to ask them to look for him.[2] Marcus is besieged at the transformer station, behind the bungalow adjacent to Kim's bungalow in the Golden Bungalows area. After defeating the zombies and saving Marcus, he will direct the Hero to visit the second transformer station located in the Silver Bungalows area.[3] He remains at the transformer station until the power is restored. When power is restored and the Lighthouse remains operational, he tells the heroes that he will stay at the Bungalow and watch over the transformer station.[4] Then he heads inside the transformer station, likely to avoid attracting the attention of the zombies.

Marcus is a middle-aged man with short brown hair and a clean-shaven face. Unlike most male survivors in the Resort, he is fully dressed with a blue floral-patterned shirt, a black undershirt, black shorts, white socks, and gray shoes. He also wears a bandage on his right wrist.[5]

- Originally in A Ray of Hope, the player was supposed to escort Marcus back to the lighthouse; however, this part of the mission was scrapped.[Citation needed]
