The Mace is a type of blunt weapon featured in Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide. It can be given out as a Quest reward, sold by various Merchants and found in Metal chests or on killed Zombies.
Overview[]
The Mace as overall very good stats for a blunt weapon, with good damage and force, towards the higher end of blunt weapons, and the natural high durability of them. It can easily crush heads and break limbs with a satisfying, if somewhat slower, swing speed. However, the weapon does drain a moderate chunk of stamina to swing, meaning against a large group it can be a little of a liability. With all that said, the Mace is excellent against either lone or groups of Walkers and with good force and damage it can easily take out Infected. It's also not too bad against Thugs, where the damage can quickly take down their health.

- Florencio Morales can sell one after completing his side quest Spicy Drinks.
- Kurt Keeble in Moresby can also sell one.
- In Riptide, Trevor Rogers can sell them, notably an orange 'legendary' rarity Mace after completing the final level of his Team Quest Best Merchandise for Trevor Rogers.
- In Riptide, Batram at Mataka Village can sell one before he disappears.
- In Riptide, Sam B will carry and use one in Siege Events is no levels of his Team Quest Upping the Odds for Sam B have been completed.
- In Riptide, Logan Carter will carry and use a Mace with the Meat Cutter Mod applied in Siege Events if the first level of his Team Quest Upping the Odds for Logan has been completed.
