Luke is a survivor in Dead Island: Riptide. He is encountered by the Hero in the center of the Flooded Jungle, at the foot of the flooded road near one of the BIDF drop locations.

Luke was on a trip with his friends in the jungle of Palanai when the zombie outbreak occurred. He and his friends were setting up camp when they were swarmed by zombies; all of his friends were killed, with some getting infected and turning into zombies. He managed to avoid the zombies and climbed up on one of the campers. His zombified friends surrounded the camper, and he shouted. Luke began to believe that he would die as more zombies surrounded him.
Luke eventually spots the heroes and calls for help. As soon as the heroes spot Luke, the civilian rescue quest Rescue Luke is activated. After killing the zombies, he calls the hero up to the top of the camper and gives them cash as a reward, saying that they will need it more than he does. He rests on the top of the camper for a while before leaving the area to find somewhere safe.
Appearance[]
Luke is a young man with short brown hair and slight stubble. He wears a yellow patterned shirt, faded blue shorts held by a black belt, white socks, and dirty light gray sneakers. He also wears a single gold necklace, bandages wrapped around his right arm up to the elbow and around his left wrist, a gold watch on his left wrist, and a utility belt with two small pouches on his left hip.
