Kenneth Ballard is a character featured in the Dead Island comic book. He is the manager of the Royal Palms Resort, and there are rumours that Kenneth is not only aware of illegal activities going on in the Resort, but even uses the Resort to launder the profits.
He's mentioned in the Dead Island comic book while Roger Howard is inside his office alone. It's not known where Kennith was at the time, but Roger got into the office by bribing a maid to allow him access while Kenneth was indisposed. While searching the computer in the office, Roger finds detailed files of the heroes. This is strange as Kenneth should have no need of informational files on random hotel guests. Therefore, it's possible that not only does Kenneth know about the illegal business going on on Banoi but also that he's laundering money from the hotel to pay the Consortium. Kenneth might have also known about the imminent outbreak on Banoi that was going to happen, but this is unconfirmed.
Kenneth and Roger never actually meet, since someone or something knocks on the office door and when Roger opens it there's a zombie rather than Kenneth. Therefore, Roger never asks Kenneth more questions so we don't get any answers to these questions or more information on them or the illegal activities. Due to the zombie appearing outside the office, it's presumed that Kenneth was eaten or turned, but this is not confirmed, leaving his fate unknown.

- It's possible that Kenneth was seen in the opening cutscene of Dead Island near the end, when the drunken guest pushes aside a man in a pink shirt as he goes to his room. However, it's unconfirmed and unlikely that it is Kenneth, as the man is informally dressed and doesn't look like a hotel manager.
- He's not mentioned by either Mike Davis or his partner Ken, despite them being security guards for the hotel and at least likely aware of his status as the manager.
