The Kanabo is a blunt melee weapon featured in Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide. It can be found in Metal chests, given as Quest rewards or sold by certain Merchants. It is the basic variant of the Metal Kanabo.
Overview[]
A Kanbo is a powerful weapon in the right hands, with high damage and force numbers, as well as high durability, at the cost of average handling and a relatively high stamina usage. Whilst the Kanabo is usually overshadowed by its metal counterpart, the basic Kanabo is still an excellent weapon. Thanks to its high damage and force, it is good against both basic and special infected alike and can hit Zombies outside of their melee range. It can be used to take out high health enemies such as Thugs or Wrestlers quite quickly but is equally as useful against lone Walkers and especially Infected, where a headshot can easily crush its head in one blow and often yield Meat. With a wide range of mods, it can tackle most situations with differing crit effects, though it is most effective with its unique mod, the Medieval Mod.
