Juice Pack
Juice Packs are interactive quest items and miscellaneous item in Dead Island. They appear around Banoi, but specifically in the Resort as an interactive item. Carrying a box of juice slows the player and prevents them from attacking with any carried weaponry, though they can be thrown at enemies to knock them over and inflict some damage. They can either be transported by hand, but a total of four packages will fit in the back of the pickup bed. Interactible juice packs will only spawn at the Lighthouse Gas Station and the City Tunnel Gas Station, as they are not a quest item in any other areas of the game.
Appearance[]
It appears as a cardboard pallet containing eight paperboard juice cartons of around one litre each. It is secured together with some layers of clingfilm so they don't rattle around or fall out while being transported. The cartons themselves are an orange box with various images and logos of the juice on them and a popper on top for drinking or pouring.
Usage[]
In Act I, the player is tasked by John Sinamoi with driving to a gas station to retrieve some for the survivors at the Lifeguard Tower in the quest Seek'n'Loot. Only two are required to complete the quest. These appear at the back of the garage at the Lifeguard Tower upon completion.
Notes[]
- They also appear in the Supermarket and Town Hall as static background pieces.
- In the Supermarket they are stacked on pallets, ready for transportation via truck or forklift.
- In fact, the pallet truck the Hero pushes into the shipping container is loaded with juice packs.
- You can find a few juice packs in Town Hall in the little pile of supplies the survivors have created.
- They are also found in some of the bandit hideouts around Moresby, one specifically is the warehouse where the side quest Heroes and Villains takes place.
- You can no longer interact with juice packs after completing the main quest Seek'n'Loot. They will still glow like they're interactible, but you will not receive a button prompt to pick one up.
