Judgement Day

Judgement Day is a hard difficulty side quest given to the Hero by Tim in Dead Island.

Synopsis[]

The Hero must travel to Tim's house and retrieve his gun.

Talk to Tim again to start the quest.
You need to travel to Tim's house, which is a short distance from the Church.
Head out of the Church and follow the road around the bend, as if traveling to the Police Station.
Head past the truck and take the second right down the road.
The house is on the corner down the second right road. An Infected spawns in front of it.
Once you enter, the house will be filled with smoke, which impairs the Hero's vision, making it hard to see the Thug in the kitchen (turning on the flashlight will aid in looking around).
The kitchen is the furthest back room, with the smoke coming from the oven which is on fire. The Thug is standing in the middle of the kitchen.
Use whatever tactic you want on it, just kill it as you would. It makes it a lot easier.
After killing the Thug, the gun can be found inside a briefcase that was behind him, beside the refrigerator.
Head back outside to Moresby. The Infected will have respawned, so make sure you're ready for a fight as soon as you load in.
Fight your way back to Tim and finish the quest. Make sure you say goodbye to Tim before leaving, as he'll have gone next time you go to the Church once you finish the quest.

The map marker for the portal, labeled "Abandoned House", can be seen on the map but only appears once the quest has been accepted.
- It will also not be highlighted in red like usual quests and it's quite possible that the pathfinder leading to it might not appear. The Abandoned House can be easily located on the map, though: from the Church, it's the second warping destination south-west from it.
With a little luck, you might see the Thug without him detecting you. This will help as you can get the first attack in without him noticing you. Get in a good thrown weapon, throwable item (such as Grenade or Molotov) or gun shot to start the fight. You might even kill it without it getting near you.
The Thug is a toxic enemy, meaning fire weapons will grantee set him on fire. You can use this to easily kill him with one, just hit the Thug and wait for the fire to kill him.
When exiting the house, the bathroom door will now be open containing a level 1 metal chest.

'Judgement Day' traditionally refers to the Apocalypse. It is also a term used in the Terminator science fiction-action media franchise (films, TV series, books, etc.) to refer to the day the nuclear weapons were used.
It could also refer to Tim taking the criminal sentence into his own hands. When Tim reaches the man, it'll be his 'judgement day' to hand his own punishment to the man.
Also, "Tim's Gun" may refer to fashion designer Tim Gunn, one of the judges on the television show Project Runway.
