Hotel Security is a named Riot Gear Walker featured in Dead Island 2. He can first be encountered during the quest Room Service for Major Booker, after leaving the Halperin Hotel Pool area via the side gate and using the other gate near the terrace to back track through the Foyer and to the Halperin Hotel Underground Parking Lot, where he will spawn at a minimum level of 8.
Background[]
Before Los Angeles turned into an even bigger hell-on-earth than it usually was, the staff at the Halperin Hotel had few things to worry about, save for the unique tastes of their clientele and the incessant demand for exquisite room service and expensive champagne & caviar. Now, with an ongoing infestation of flesh-eating monsters sowing panic and mania outside their walls, it would be more than wise for the hotel staff to beef up their security in the face of total anarchy and abandonment of human decency - if there was any to go around here.
Thus, with much of the city up in flames or being devoured au vif by the Infected and the U.S Army turning the place into a makeshift Evac Center, this unlucky fellow was given the extra task of maintaining watch of the Halperin Hotel's security from his little office post by the Parking Lot. Regrettably, the job didn't come with a training program on "How To Fight Literal Zombies", so when the Earthquake struck the Hotel and the Army's defenses were overrun, no amount of bulletproof armoring could spare him from getting checked-out by the chomping maws of the Zeds.
Get it? Checked out? Tsk, you and your lack of humor.
Appearance[]
The Hotel Security Officer (or what was him, anyway) is no dissimilar to your average Riot Gear Walker: a dark-skinned man with short, shaven hair, sporting a blue uniform decked with bulletproof vest covering the chest and groin, black gloves, a leg holster for firearms, and black combat boots.
Notes[]
- When killed, he will drop the Security Guard's Safe Key.
