Hidden Quests are Quests that are encounterable and completable by the Heroes but never have their names shown. They do not appear on the quests list in the menu nor do they have a quest acceptance screen like normal quests. They have associated Survivors and give rewards like normal, but are never seen in a menu anywhere.
Bad Day at the Beach[]
Synopsis[]
Rescue Richard Case from the lifeguard booth he's trapped in on the beach.
Walkthrough[]
- When in a Safe House with a radio in the Resort, you may hear Richard call out for help, saying he's trapped in a lifeguard booth on the beach.
- Richard is at the far end of Diamond Beach and is being besieged by Walkers around the booth.
- Head over and kill the Walkers. There's a few of them here but taking them out one at a time if needed will thin them out easily enough.
- Once they're all dead, head up the ramp to the door into the booth and open it.
- Talk to Richard to finish the quest and accept his new one.
Notes[]
- A Metal chest is inside the booth.
- The quest can only be encountered AFTER hearing Richard's cry for help on the radio. If you head to the booth before hearing the radio, he will not spawn.
- If you return to the booth after saving Richard, he will be gone and a Thug will often be seen outside.
Caged Heat[]
Synopsis[]
Rescue Jose Garcia from the Zombies trapping him at the bunker.
Walkthrough[]
- When in a safe house with a radio in the Resort, you may hear Jose call out for help, saying he's trapped in a bunker on the beach somewhere.
- Head over to the north-west end of the Resort to find Bunker 06. It's easily gotten to from the Beach House if you travel the opposite way from the Lifeguard Tower.
- Jose will be calling for help from behind a metal barred door and a group of zombies will be milling about in front trying to get to him.
- There's a bunch of Walkers and two Thugs here, making it rather dangerous.
- Leave the two Thugs and deal with the Walkers first, as the Thugs will be far more manageable if the Walkers are not there to distract you.
- Once the Walkers are dead, you can either try to fight the two Thugs at once or split them up to deal with them one at a time.
- Having a throwable such as a Deo-Bomb or Molotov Cocktail will make short work of the Thugs if they bunch up together and can even take out the Walkers if undetected while throwing it.
- Once the zombies are all dead, talk to Jose for the reward and to finish the quest.
Notes[]
- Like Richard's quest, Jose will not spawn until AFTER you have heard his call on the radio. He will not spawn otherwise, since if you go to the bunker before hearing from him, it will be deserted with no car or zombies and the bunker will still be locked up.
- A Metal chest can be found in the outside tunnel of the bunker.
- Another metal chest is found in the turret of the bunker.
- The Weighted Mod can be found inside the bunker on a desk in the back room.
- You can use Jose's car that's parked out the front of the bunker after finishing the quest, as it will always spawn there.
- If you return after saving Jose, he will be gone and the area will be deserted, including the zombies.
Help Needed[]
Synopsis[]
Rescue Steve Summers from Bungalow 10 where he is besieged by Walkers.
Walkthrough[]
- Steve is located at the very back of the hotel bungalows area, rather close to the hotel itself. It takes a little trekking across the pools and bars area but you'll eventually find a group of Walkers crowded around a bungalow.
- Upon approaching, you'll see Steve through the broken down and barricaded front doors through the Walkers who will call out for help.
- It's a bit of a tight space and can be hazardous to fight as many Walkers as there are, so either throwing something like a Deo-bomb or Molotov to thin them out first is a good idea.
- The other option is to try and break them up so you fight just a few at time, to make them more manageable.
- When they're all dead, you can either try and get in through the front door, or go around the side, over the side barricade and in through the other door to talk to Steve.
- Either way, once inside, talk to Steve to get your reward.
Notes[]
- ID Card 23 can be found next to the side entrance door.
- There's a lot of good loot in the bungalow:
- You can find 3 water bottles in the front room, useful for Kim's continuous quest Nectar of Life.
- There's a bunch of energy drinks here as well if you were injured in the fight.
- There's a metal chest in the hallway between the bedroom and bathroom.
- There's another outside, in between the barricades at the rear of the bungalow.
- You can pick up a molotov cocktail next to the metal chest inside.
- If you return to the bungalow after saving Steve, he will be gone and the area is abandoned, including the zombies.
Shop's Closed[]
Synopsis[]
Rescue Matt Horton and help him get into the shop.
Walkthrough[]
- When travelling near the Warehouse in Moresby, you may hear a survivor calling for help.
- Down the right side of the Warehouse is a side road where you'll find Matt besieged by zombies.
- There's a Thug and a group of Walkers surrounding a shop at the end where he's trapped inside.
- Kill the Walkers first, then deal with the Thug. A molotov or deo-bomb is very useful for clearing out a majority of them, leaving you with just the Thug and maybe one or two Walkers.
- When they're all dead, talk to Matt who explains he used to work at the shop and got trapped inside. He then unlocks the door for you to enter.
- His boss turned and Matt was forced to kill him with a Wrench, but once you get inside he gets back up again.
- The boss is just another Walker and is very easy to kill before he gets up.
- When he's dead, Matt will thank you and state that he is getting out of Moresby. This ends the quest.
Notes[]
- If you return to the shop after saving Matt, it will be unlocked still and abandoned, without any zombies out the front of it.
- A metal chest can be found inside the shop.
Show Time[]
Synopsis[]
Rescue Alfred from the stage he is trapped on by zombies.
Walkthrough[]
- When travelling down Golden Beach in the Resort, you will come across a music stage set up on the beach, obviously for some sort of beachside concert that never happened.
- Alfred will call for help from on top of the stage, where a small group of Walkers is trapping him.
- There are only a few Walkers and they can be dispatched easily enough, even with just paddles.
- When they are dead, climb up the ladder to reach Alfred and talk to him.
- Alfred claims that he is going to leave the island as soon as he can. This ends the quest.
Notes[]
- Several metal chests can be found at the stage.
- One is on an upper walkway opposite Alfred on the other side of the stage.
- Another is found behind the boxes in the centre of the stage.
- Several bottles of Water can be found for Kim for her continuous quest Nectar of Life.
- If you return to the stage, Alfred will be gone but will later turn up in the Warehouse in Moresby
