The Hellfire Shotgun is a firearm featured in Escape Dead Island. It is an enhanced shotgun found near the end of the game which gives far more killing power over the normal one. Zombies will be quite literally blown away by the power you now hold in your hand!

At the shadow zombie part of the Crown Residence during Mission 10 - Faith. In a room at the top of the staircase on a workbench. A shadow Butcher will appear, though, and he's VERY tough.
Usage[]
The fight to get the hellfire shotgun is very tough but very worth it. The shadow butcher that appears is an extremely tough fight thanks to multiple reasons. Shadow zombies have more health, the shadow Butcher does more damage, the area to fight him is tiny and the camera is spinning around thanks to Cliff's insanity. However, manage to defeat him and you get a worthy weapon! The hellfire shotgun deals far more damage (1/3 more), has more shells in the magazine (12 instead of 8) and is all around a better weapon. It's something you'll want for the final mission of the game, as there's a lot of tough shadow zombies to fight, and the shotgun helps make easy work of them. It's a very worthwhile pick-up, even if the fight before it is stupendously hard.

- Despite being called the 'hellfire' shotgun, this weapon does not afflict any sort of fire damage or fire elemental crit chance.
- It is the last possible weapon to acquire in Escape, and is the last firearm possible to collect.
- The Hellfire shotgun is capable of unloading 1.77 shotgun shells per second, including reload time. Due to the larger magazine compared to the regular shotgun, this improves on the fire rate of the regular shotgun which is 1,348 shotgun shells per second.
- The Hellfire shotgun deals 32 damage on a bodyshot and 48 damage on a headshot. The damage quickly drops of with distance however.
- The DPS of the Hellfire shotgun is 56.64 for bodyshots and 84.96 for headshots at close range.
- The Hellfire shotgun and Assault rifle are both capable of killing mutant Aaron with bodyshots or headshots. The regular shotgun can only kill mutant Aaron with consecutive headshots which makes it very difficult in practice.
