The Heavy Morning Star is a blunt weapon featured in Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide. It can be sold by a select few Merchants or found in Metal chests and on killed Zombies.

The Heavy Morning Star is a decent blunt weapon, boasting moderate damage with high force and durability, and a medium stamina drain. It deals good damage by itself, capable of crushing the head of an Infected quite easily and it can let you take on multiple Walkers at once without much trouble. It is also quite useful against special infected, with good force and damage for taking on Thugs and Wrestlers. It has a relatively slow swing speed, however, and moderate stamina drain, which means it could be a liability against fast, high health special infected such as Butchers.

- Wayne at the Lifeguard Tower in the Resort can sell one.
- Javier Wimsatt at the Lighthouse can also sell one, notably a purple 'vary rare' rarity one.
- Cahaya Dian and Eric Cotner in Moresby both have a chance to sell one.
- In Riptide, the Heavy Morning Star has lost its spiked head and instead has a shiny metal ball in its place.
