Grenadier Walkers are former military personnel who can be identified by their military uniform and a vest of explosives. The explosive vest is highly sensitive and will explode if damaged. As such, players should focus on their limbs when using melee weapons or use firearms to kill them from a distance. The vest will explode if they are inflicted with status effect or damaged with environmental hazards. When struck the grenades with emit white smoke which quickly turn red and detonate. Should a Grenadier Walker get too close, the player can kick them back. This will give the player a few seconds to retreat before the explosive vest will detonate. Jump kick is a must as it can send the walker a safe distance away from a survivor or into a small horde of zombies.
Like other Walkers, Grenadier Walkers are slow and will attempt to grab the player if they get too close. Their limbs can be easily maimed and they can be temporarily distracted with Meat Bait. Grenadier Walkers are useful for killing groups of zombies or inflicting heavy damage to Apex Variants. This can be done by using Kick abilities to knock them into other zombies.
