Greg, called in game Infected Greg, was a boss like Infected who appears in Dead Island: Riptide. He was the grumpy owner of his small hardware store in Henderson before the outbreak. When the city was overrun, he barricaded himself in his shop, but succumbed to the virus, turning into an Infected.
Overview[]
During the side quest The Darkness, the Heroes have to retrieve a new fuse for Cecil so that power is restored to the Makeshift Hospital. Greg is found inside his store, also called Greg's, but the Hero is warned about him by Cecil, as he is, in Cecil's words, 'A bit of an ass'. After breaking down the door, he tries to kill the Heroes, who need to kill Greg to then loot his store.
Appearance[]
Greg is a middle aged man with short brown hair and a clean shaven face. He wears an orange t-shirt, blue jeans held by a black belt, and brown boots. He also wears a brown backpack a single necklace, and a black band around his left wrist. In the Definitive Edition, he's shirtless, his jeans have become tan slacks, and his boots are brown.
Notes[]
- Despite being a named boss like the Infected Doctor, he has the same health as a regular Infected, so will die instantly by most things, including a headshot from a high powered firearm like a sniper, throwable like a grenade or a headstomp if you are able to knock him down.
- He will also respawn like a regular zombie when the Hero leaves the area and returns to it.
