Grasp All, Lose All is a hard difficulty side-quest given to the Hero by Stan Dart in Dead Island.
Synopsis[]
Clear out Stan's house of all the looters.
Walkthrough[]
- Talk to Stan to start the quest. He's located just outside his house.
- His house has been overrun by looters and Stan was kicked out by them onto the street. Everything he owns is in the house and he can't stay out on the street or he'll be killed by zombies for sure. He wants you to get into his house and kill all the looters.
- Enter his house using the portal next to you. Ready a firearm if you have one, as there's a lot of looters inside and they mostly have guns.
- You'll be in a corridor with an open door right in front of you. Two punks with melee weapons will charge at you straight away. Shoot them if you can, as they can easily do a lot of damage, plus dodge melee swings.
- Head to the stairs and go up them. If you face the landing as you go up, you can get easy shots on the punk up top. If you don't have a gun, charge as fast as you can and take them out quickly, then pick up their pistol. There's another one just behind them, so be wary and kill them as well.
- Open the double door and use the crates in the hallway as cover. There's around 4 punks here, so use cover and go for headshots on them. Move further down the corridor as you kill them to get close to the door at the end.
- Once the corridor is clear, proceed to the door at the back and break it down. You're now looking at Stan's house itself.
- There's more looters here and it's very enclosed, so kill them all as quickly as you can. There's little cover, but these are the last looters, so take them out.
- You can loot the apartment while you're here, then return to the entrance and exit back to Stan.
- Talk to Stan to finish the quest and get your reward.
Notes[]
- You will not be able to enter the house again after completing the quest, so make sure to grab the collectibles and loot before you leave.
- All the punks appear on the minimap as red skull icons, so they can't sneak up or hide from you.
- The Medieval Mod is located on table near couch
- ID Card 59 can be found on the upper floor in the bedroom at the end of the hall, lying on a short table at the foot of the bed nearest the door
- It's easy to reach this quest while completing the side quest Radio Ga Ga for Carl, as it's just behind it on the opposite side of the block.
- Just down the road is the abandoned house where you find Mugambe's wife and Daughter for his side quest In Cold Blood.
