The hook in the propane tank
The Grappling Hook is an item featured in Escape Dead Island. Is is a lightweight four pronged hook that attaches to the rope, and allows Cliff Calo to get up to higher ground from where he is.
Location[]
At the marina during Mission 8 - Devan. It is inside the previously locked storage room in the middle of the marina exterior, hooked onto a propane tank.
Usage[]
The grappling hook is a useful item that allows you to get onto certain higher ground from where you are, or quickly get back through places you've already gone. For example, once you have the grappling hook, you can quickly get from the marina to the beach without having to go all the way around, through the staff office and down the garbage chute to the cave and back to the beach, you can just grappling hook up and have a quick rope up and down from the beach. It also allows you to get to certain higher places such as at said marina or near the mountaintop, where there's a location in the cave which requires the hook. It is limited, however, in that like the rope, you can't just hook it anywhere. It has to be at designated spots, normally marked with a yellow bar for the hook to grapple to.
