Gears are miscellaneous items used for customizing weapons and can be found in Dead Island. Gears are one of the rarer mod items, as they can't be looted off dead zombies, nor are they sold by merchants. It appears as a metal gear with many teeth. The centre of the gear as thinner, while the gears are on a thick and wide rim. There's also a hole in the centre for a rod to go through when mounting the gear on something.
