Cliff looking up the chute from the floor
The Garbage Chute is a location featured in Escape Dead Island. It is located within the marina complex on Narapela and is a place where all the rubbish generated by the warehouse was dumped. Cliff Calo uses the garbage chute to escape from the marina and make his way back to the beach to try and find his friends.[1]

The garbage chute is just that, a long drop to a floor where all the rubbish is dumped. It leads all the way from the top of the staff offices to the bottom of the warehouse where a cave leads to the beach. It's not blocked off or a single enclosed tube where rubbish is dumped, rather just a section of the warehouse that's blocked off by some railings that anyone can throw rubbish down to dispose of it. It all collects at the bottom and is presumably removed at certain times or when it gets too full.[2]

- You can see Research Log 8 while going down the chute, but you can't collect it there and then. You have to get to it a different way during Mission 8 - Devan.
- A +3 Medkit can be found near the bottom of the chute.
- GeoPharm File 2 can be found in the cave system leading to the Beach, shortly after coming down the garbage chute. After getting off the Rope and entering the cave system there is a branching cave and heading right comes to a destructible barricade, behind which is the file.
