The Frying Pan is a blunt weapon featured in Dead Island.
Overview[]
Frying pans, like the other basic weapons in the game, do not scale their stats with a character's level which renders them terribly ineffective. In addition, they cannot be modified, cannot be upgraded, cannot be repaired at a workbench, and upon reaching 0% durability are simply discarded by the Hero. They have very low stats in pretty much everything, with their stamina usage being only a small amount. Even for a level 1 hero, the frying pan will not be enough to survive any more than one zombie at a time. They break after just a few hits, with comparable damage to the Fists. They have no applicable mods and since they can't be upgraded, the weapon can't be improved in any way. Don't bother taking up an inventory slot with a frying pan and instead fill it with something useful. The only reason to keep a frying pan is if it's going into storage as a novelty item, or maybe as a 'mascot' or good luck charm.
Notes[]
- A number of them can be found all over the island, including but not limited to:
- The kitchen of the Hotel.
- The River Village and Overpass Camp areas of the Jungle, usually hanging on walls.
- The Prison kitchen.
- It is widely reputed to be the worst weapon in the game.
