The Firestorm Slobber is an Apex zombie in featured in Dead Island 2. It is a variant of the Slobber and has a chance to spawn at Slobber hot-spots and other areas throughout Los Angeles.
Overview[]
Firestorm Slobbers have mutated to vomit flaming projectiles of organic napalm. They are commonly seen within a pool of their own flaming vomit, encasing them in a literal ring of fire. This makes them the most dangerous variant of the Slobber as their attacks can inflict fire damage from a distance and at close range. Firestorm Slobbers are immune to fire and resistant to blunt and projectile damage. Like other Slobber variants, they are weak to sharp, shock, and bleed damage, making melee attacks the most effective against them.
Taking cover is the best tactic to avoid damage from their projectiles. The safest way to engage them is to lure them out of their pool of vomit so that it doesn't inflict damage. Once close enough, the Firestorm Slobber will resort to arm swipes and grapples. Their slow speed allows players to get behind them to attack. Should they not be lured outside of their pool of vomit, a Chem Bomb can be thrown to extinguish the vomit's flames.
Appearance[]
Firestorm Slobbers can be identified by their bloated and charred bodies as well as the flesh missing from portions of their face, arms, and legs. They are dressed quite like rappers, with the remains of a black puffer jacket, black shorts, a black sock with white stripes and a similarly-colored slipper on the right foot, a black cap with a red number 36 on the front, and a gold Cuban-link microphone chain necklace. All of their visible upper teeth are also gold.
