The entrance to the laundry
Ogio Moke's Laundry is a Dead Zone located in Henderson and featured in Dead Island: Riptide. It's one of the many dead zones scattered around the game and is one of the easiest to get to thanks to its close proximity to The Fort of Henderson, especially after you unlock the fast travel there.
Overview[]
The dead zone is typical of one of the three different dead zone types in Henderson, as well as being easy to get to once you unlock The Fort of Henderson. It's located on a relatively thin walkway which is not good, but once you're in it's pretty straight forwards. You start in a long corridor with a doorway to the right which leads you to a very short right angle joint to the locked door to the laundromat itself. In there, there's several rows of washing machines as well as some steam and various lockers against the walls. The washing machines obscure your view slightly but sticking near the door helps if you get surprised. On the left wall, near the back, there's a doorway to a small rear room which has a chair and small table.
Strategy[]
This dead zone is one of the easier ones in Henderson thanks to the lack of special infected commonly found in the Henderson dead zones (Screamers, etc). Starting off, at the end of the entrance corridor are some Walkers wandering around and an Infected lurking through the doorway on the right. They're easy to deal with but some of the bodies on the ground near them will come alive as Walkers, so try and finish them off quickly. Thanks to the lack of special infected, clearing the main area is quite easy after you break down the door. Throwing a sonic pulse grenade is a fantastic way to clear out of the Walkers quickly, as not only will it kill the 5 or so that are near the door, but also the same amount that are playing dead on the ground. After that, there's just Ogio himself if this is your first visit or the Walkers at the other end of the laundromat. There's also a couple of Infected in the small room near the back of the building, but they're easy enough to kill if you've cleared the rest of the building. Once everything is dead, loot the place before you leave.

Notes[]
- A Wrestler often spawns just to one side of the door when loading up Henderson, as well as a couple of Infected. Make sure you have some health when you leave so that you're not surprise attacked while loading out of the dead zone.
- Three metal chests are found here, one in the entrance corridor and two in the back corners of the laundry area itself.
Trivia[]
- For some reason, there's a Café Kiev sign next to the door, despite the fact that Café Kiev never turns up in the game and this is a laundromat.
