Fallen Angel is a medium difficulty side-quest given to the Hero by Chris in Dead Island.

Synopsis[]

Chris wants the electronics from the downed aircraft in the jungle to create a radio to contact the outside world.

Walkthrough[]

  • Talk to Chris to start the quest.
  • He heard the pilots calling for help from the crashing aircraft and wonders if they can use the radio equipment on the plane to call for help from the outside world.
  • You can either take a Jeep from outside the Overpass Camp and drive to the crash site, or fast travel to the River Village and walk to the site.
  • Make sure you have a firearm with you, although if you don't have one, there are many Jungle Muggers at the site for you to take a gun from.
  • As you fight through the crash site, there'll be a couple of red objective flags appear on the map.
  • One is under the cockpit at the entrance to the crash site, hidden in a rectangular cutout.
  • The second one is in the tail plane of the aircraft, so you'll have to fight through the fuselage to the rear of the aircraft.
  • The electronics are in the rear of the tail plane. Head to the tree trunk which is leaning up to the open door. Jump onto the trunk and walk up it. Get through the door and the electronic part is attached to the ceiling.
  • After killing all the muggers, head back to either your car or the River Village to get back to Chris.
  • Talk to him to hand over the equipment and get your reward.

Notes[]

  • This quest can be easily completed at the same time as Monica's side quest Nighthawk.
  • You can find a few metal chests at the crash site.
  • Some of the muggers have rifles, so make sure you have a gun and ammo to take them out, as well as medkits.
  • Like all human enemies, they can be killed with a single headshot.
  • If you linger in the area for too long after killing them, they will eventually respawn, leading you to be ambushed unexpectedly, though you can farm for rifles to sell for some good cash income.
  • However if you leave the area or quit the game and come back, the muggers will not respawn and instead be replaced by zombies.
  • The electronics go into your inventory, you don't need to carry them or place them into a car, allowing you to concentrate on killing the muggers.

Bugs[]

  • Sometimes if you accept this quest but don't complete it prior to exiting your current game session, when you reload your save the quest will not appear in the quest log. You must return to the Overpass Camp and accept the quest again. To avoid, simply complete the quest prior to exiting your game session. Similar to the bug in the Fortress of God quest.
  • If you collect the electronics but don't take them to Chris before exiting, the parts will be removed from your inventory when you start the game again and you will have to collect them again.
