The Execution Room is a location in the Prison featured in the Ryder White's Campaign DLC of Dead Island. It was the room that housed the electric chair for prisoners sentenced to death and held in the Death Row cells just down the corridor from the execution room. Ryder White is tasked to come here by Charon to collect some gas to knock out the heroes when they enter the elevator with the cure.[1] In order to get in here, however, Ryder has to fight through some rebel prisoners as well as fight off zombies that they release.[1]

The execution room is quite literally just that, a room housing an electric chair for executing condemned prisoners. The electric chair is front and foremost, visible from the doorway and corridor beyond, it is given the centre of the room with nothing near it. A small observation room is next to it that contains the lever to activate the chair as well as knock-out gas to subdue the prisoner and to make them unconscious to prevent them attempting to break out while being strapped to the chair. A doorway leads from the execution room to the corridor leading to the death row cells as well as another door which leads to the small control room of the cells, which allows a guard to unlock a specific cell when it's the prisoner's time to go.[2]

- You can actually turn on the electric chair once you obtain the keys to the control room. However there's no practical use to this and touching the chair will kill you.
