The Electric Star is a Curveball featured in Dead Island 2. It is obtained by picking up the Electric Star lodged in the danger sign at the water treatment plant in Beverly Hills. If it is not picked up here, it can be purchased from Rodriguez for $1500 after completing the side quest Cremains of the Day in Venice Beach.
Unlike the Shuriken, only one star is throw when the curveball is activated. Additionally, it will electrify any zombie it hits and inflict Shock damage. It will also any body of water it comes into contact with. Like other electrified weapons, it is ineffective against Shocking Walkers, Shocking Runners, Firefighter Walkers, Firefighter Runners, and Voltaic Screamers who are immune to its effects.
