Down Town is a location featured in Dead Island. It is a neighbourhood sector of the city of Moresby. Down Town is one of the largest areas of Moresby and encompasses a lot of the north-west of the map. It covers the Police Station most notably and gives access to a lot of city. Heading north takes you to Queenscliffe, heading to the west down the road takes you to Riverside towards the City Bridge and Pump Station while heading west takes you to some warehouses and access to Quarantine. To the southern end of Down Town you can get access to one of the two working vehicles in Moresby by walking to Moresby Gas Station.

Down Town covers a decent portion of the map. It encompasses the Police Station in its entirety and features mostly cleared roads, allowing vehicle access. Down Town has a large variety of buildings in its area, including shops, houses and warehouses. Next to the Police Station are some warehouses which offer up some minor loot in terms of computers and access to Quarantine, while a merchant, Cahaya Dian, is located on the road heading up to Queenscliffe. There's usually plenty of Walkers in Down Town's area, especially near the electronics shop for Carl. Talking of, the area around there features a seating or market area, likely serving some café or restaurant, and there's usually a high concentration of Walkers and a Ram here, so be careful.[1]

- Stan Dart is found in the southern portion of Down Town and gives the side quest Grasp All, Lose All.
- The other side of Stan and his house is the electronics shop, the destination of the side quest Radio Ga Ga.
- Café Kiev is located to the north of Down Town, just past the Police Station. It's the second destination for the side quest A Voice from Above the Sky. Sergei Kletska is located inside the café.
- A fire hydrant is located in front of the Police Station in Down Town for the main quest Drop by Drop.
- ID Card #31 is located next to a pool of blood just north of the small river Joseph crosses over during the main quest Way of Salvation. This area is just north of the gas station.
- ID Card #41 is located on the counter inside Café Kiev.
- ID Card #59 is located inside Stan's house next to a bed.
- Tape Recorder #05 is located inside the electronics shop.
- Banoi Herald Excerpt #17 can be found on a table in the small market/bar area just before the Moresby Gas Station.
