DI2 Debug Melee Weapon disfigured shambler

The Debug Melee Weapon, or in-game simply named Debug Weapon, is an unreleased developer tool featured in Dead Island 2. When 'shot' it will modify the body of an enemy as if they had taken damage, but will not cause the target to lose HP. The cut along which this 'damage' is applied can be moved up and down by holding the aim button and moving your aim upwards and downwards. The cut starts out at head height and in the horizontal plane. The cut can also be rotated by holding the aim button and moving your aim sideways. The cut area will display on the target by a rostered plane. The tool does not have a model, hence the player is placed into a T-pose like position with the arms arching down when the tool is equipped.

Notes[]

  • The verticle movement of the rostered plane is very sensetive, making it easy to lose track of the rostered plane. The rostered plane can be reset to its starting position by removing the weapon from the item wheel and putting it back in, inside your inventory.
  • The 'damage' done by this weapon is purely visual. For example, even if both legs are removed, the target can still stand straight up and walk around.
  • The rostered plane will also appear on some objects however 'shooting' at these objects will not do anything.
