Dan Mark was a survivor featured in Dead Island.
Background[]
He is found during the side quest Ashes to Ashes, where the Hero must visit the gas station in search of fuel. After Sathiss lets the player inside, Dan Mark will tell the Hero that the pumps are not working, and can only be turned on via the generator next door. Dan advises the Hero to go out to the back and climb on the roof to get to the generator. After this, both Dan and Sathiss remain at the gas station. After completing Ashes to Ashes, returning to the gas station will show the front doors smashed in, presumably from the Thug that appears next to the pumps, with Dan Mark's partially eaten (and turned) corpse on the floor of the station.
Appearance[]
Dan is an older man with balding brown hair and a big moustache. Unlike most male survivors in the Resort, Dan is fully clothed with an orange and black striped t-shirt, a white undershirt, blue shorts, white socks, and white and blue sneakers. He also wears an orange band on his right wrist.
Trivia[]
- It's unknown why Dan and Sathiss didn't go with the hero to a safe house, as the car could have easily carried them all.
- Dan and Sathiss are the only survivors the heroes help and later find dead in the game. Every other survivor stays in their place, never being in trouble again.
