The Crowbar is a blunt melee weapon featured in Dead Island and Dead Island: Riptide. It's one of the more common weapons that can be found, since several appear in the world to be collected as well as commonly appearing in Metal chests and being sold by Merchants.
Overview[]
Crowbars are one of the strongest yet versatile blunt weapons in the game. They usually tend to have a high overall strength, force and durability, but they rather lack in swing speed. Crowbars are some of the most useful weapons in the game, especially when an impact mod has been applied to them (such as their unique mod, the Shocking Crowbar Mod), since their high force attributes allows them to easily catapult zombies at high speed into a wall, killing them from the impact. Their handling is alright, if not quite as good as other blunt weapons, though their swing speed is relatively slow, meaning they can be a little of a liability if swarmed. They are very good at crushing the head of an Infected if a good connecting hit is made, often yielding a Meat.

- Cahaya Dian can sell a Crowbar from his shop in Moresby.
- Kurt Keeble can also sell one.
- Florencio Morales at the Warehouse in Moresby can also sell a crowbar after finishing his side quest Spicy Drinks.
- Rodrigue in Saint Christopher's Church can sell a crowbar.
- Wes Tweddle in the Bloodbath Arena lobby can sell one.
- Trevor Rogers will sell a crowbar in Dead Island: Riptide.
- If the Survivor Pack DLC has been installed for Dead Island: Riptide, or if playing the Definitive Edition, Makayla in Halai Village will sell a rare 'blue' rarity crowbar.
- A crowbar can be acquired from Laurie Weaver's car at the end of her side quest Crash.
- Nina will give out a very rare 'purple' rarity crowbar for finishing her rescue quest Ladies First in Dead Island: Riptide.
- Samuel Hardy will carry a modded crowbar if the first level of his Team Quest, Upping the Odds for Colonel Hardy, has been completed.
- Several crowbars can be found in the Ryder White's Campaign DLC for Dead Island, being some of the first weapons available in the DLC.
