Crawlers is a type of zombie featured in Dead Island 2. They are made when the Slayer cut off the leg(s) of common zombies regardless of their types, However, they are still specified in-game as a type of zombie they were before their leg(s) amputated. In the previous games, cutting off the legs of an enemy would instantly kill it, regardless of its health. They grab onto the leg of the Hero and attempt to slash down at their legs.
