Chief Smuggler or Chief Punk was a hostile survivor featured in Dead Island: Riptide. He was the Leader of the Smugglers in the Japanese Tunnels. He is fought, along with his gang, in the main quest The Tunnels, where the Heroes needs to fight though his gang to reach the end of the tunnels and find a way to Henderson.
When the outbreak happened, the chief smuggler and his gang headed into the Japanese tunnels and either killed or forced out all the survivors taking refuge in it, stealing all their valuables and supplies in the tunnel. He's located in their 'armoury' along with 2 of his smugglers at the end of the tunnels complex just before the exit. He carries an auto rifle.

- Like all other human enemies, despite him being a named 'boss' human, he will die to a single headshot from a firearm.
- He'll also burn up instantly upon being hit by a molotov or other throwable.
